Note: Authorize.net  allows you to accept payments from your customers using major credit cards and US checking accounts and is a separate entity from GigaBook. All information used to set up your Authorize.net account is being requested by Authorize.net. GigaBook has no control over these requests nor do we ever interact directly with any transactions that take place through your account or website. GigaBook simply provides a gateway to Authorize.net in order to make your process faster and easier. Any questions arising from payments or disputes should be directed to Authorize.net

To start accepting payments using Authorize.net, you will need to create a Merchant Account, which we will cover first:

When creating your Merchant Account, you will be asked for personal, business and processing information.

Click "Agree" at the bottom of the page, and you will be prompted to create an account

Your Authorize.net Merchant Account will then be in TEST MODE while your merchant account is being processed.

At this time, you can finalize your payment configurations and obtain your Client Key, API Login ID and Transaction Key (required to connect with GigaBook).

Once you've obtained the needed information, connecting your GigaBook account to Authorize.net is simple, and there are two ways to set this up.

  1. The easiest way to access this feature is through your Smart Start Invoice/Payments Settings, which GigaBook recommends if you're initially setting up your account. Simply enter the the required information and sync.

From this section in Smart Start, you can also decide if you need to:
Change currency
Collect payment at time of booking
Charge tax for your services
Automatically send invoices when payment is collected

2. The other way to access this is through your account settings by hovering over the gear wheel in the sidebar and clicking "Settings Hub."

From the "Money" section in Settings Hub, select the Connect Payment Gateway option.

Then, click the "Authorize.net" button, where you will be prompted to enter the information required to connect to GigaBook.

Voila! You're connected!

Don't forget to enable payment collection in both your Booking and Group Session Widgets, and you're all set! If you would like more information about the different payment options GigaBook offers, visit the Payment Gateway page from your GigaBook account.
